Safety and Emergency Information

GeoKiks may show user reports, Echo posts, community content, maps, and some public-source alerts. That information can be delayed, incomplete, mistaken, or later changed. It is not professional emergency, medical, or legal advice.

GeoKiks does not dispatch police, fire, ambulance, or any government emergency service. GeoKiks is not 911, 112, 999, or any other local emergency number. GeoKiks is not an official government warning system.

If you are in danger, contact the official emergency service for your location. In some countries that number is 911, 112, or 999. Use the number that works where you are. Do not wait for GeoKiks.

Emergency reports and Local Issues may be user generated. They can contain mistakes. They can be late. Status can change. GeoKiks cannot guarantee that every event is reported or that every report is correct.

An Official Alert label means the item came from a named public source, such as a weather or fire feed. It does not mean GeoKiks confirmed the event on the ground. A paid Government Verified profile badge is not government endorsement and is not proof that a report is true.

Location can be affected by GPS, networks, battery settings, operating-system limits, buildings, and weather. Maps and routes can be inaccurate or unsafe for current conditions. Do not drive or walk into danger because of a GeoKiks map or Follow Live Directions route.

Push notifications, emails, and in-app notices can be delayed or never delivered. Networks can fail. The operating system can restrict background location and background refresh. Place Alerts and SOS are not guaranteed to reach anyone.

SOS tells people who can already see your live My People location that you need help. It does not call official emergency services. It does not mean those people can reach you or that they will. You can cancel it. An active SOS lasts a limited time (currently about six hours).

Follow Live Directions may help an approved person open a route toward you. It is not guaranteed tracking. Origin and destination may be sent to routing providers. The route can be wrong.

Contact official emergency services for your location in a real emergency. Follow official instructions on the ground. Do not approach a dangerous situation because of GeoKiks content. Do not interfere with first responders.

GeoKiks does not promise that you or anyone else is safe. GeoKiks does not promise exact location, immediate delivery, rescue, response, report accuracy, or continuous service. GeoKiks can help you stay informed. It cannot replace official emergency services.
