Child Safety

Last updated August 15, 2026

GeoKiks does not allow child sexual exploitation, child sexual abuse material, grooming, or the sexual solicitation of minors. This page explains who GeoKiks is for, what is banned, and how to report. Read it with the Community Guidelines and Privacy Policy.

1.Who GeoKiks is for

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Sign-up is designed to block younger ages when a date of birth is provided. GeoKiks does not offer a child account or a parent-managed kids experience.

If the law where you live requires a higher age, you must meet that age.

2.Accounts for people 13 to 17

If someone 13 to 17 creates an account, they currently receive the same GeoKiks Services as adults. That includes Echo, comments, chats, direct messages where available, public geotagged posts, My People, SOS, Follow Live Directions, and ads in the mobile apps.

GeoKiks does not currently require parental consent for those accounts, limit teen direct messages, or turn off ads solely because an account is 13 to 17. Parents and guardians who use My People with their families remain responsible for how they use location sharing, consistent with the Terms and applicable law.

3.What is prohibited

These are banned on every GeoKiks surface, including Echo, comments, chats, direct messages, Emergencies, Local Issues, profiles, and links:

Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), including real, generated, or stylized sexual depictions of minors. Grooming. Sexual solicitation of minors. Sextortion. Trafficking or commercial sexual exploitation of children. Inappropriate sexual interactions with minors. Sharing or requesting sexual images of minors.

Also banned: stalking a child, using location features to watch or find a child without authorization, doxxing, threats, harassment, and exposing a child's home, school, or other sensitive location without authorization.

Jokes, memes, or "fiction" are not an excuse. If you are unsure whether content sexualizes a minor, do not post it.

4.Location and My People

Do not publish a child's live location, school routine, or home in a public post. Do not use My People, SOS, Place Alerts, Daily History, or Follow Live Directions to monitor a child for predatory purposes or to expose them to harm.

Lawful family use of My People by a parent or guardian is not the same as unauthorized tracking. Still follow these rules and the Community Guidelines.

5.How GeoKiks handles this

You can report a post, message, or profile in the apps. You can also email safety@geokiks.com.

Some Echo images and videos are scanned automatically for nudity, sexual content, and graphic violence. Reports go to a queue. GeoKiks staff may remove content and restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts. GeoKiks does not promise that every report is reviewed in a set number of hours, or that a specialist is always on duty.

If GeoKiks becomes aware of apparent CSAM, GeoKiks will remove it and may report it to competent authorities as required by law. Do not email CSAM files or copies of illegal images.

6.If a child is in immediate danger

If a child is in immediate physical danger, contact official emergency services for your location. Then report on GeoKiks if it is safe to do so. GeoKiks is not dispatch and cannot replace those services.

7.False reports

Knowingly false child-safety reports may lead to account restriction or termination.

8.Consequences

Violations may result in content removal, account restriction, suspension, or termination, as the product allows and as the law permits. Repeat or severe abuse may be referred to authorities where the law requires or allows it.
